Big Alpha Update, Brother!

- Posted in SlamSim! by

I'm thrilled to announce the release of SlamSim! v1.0 Alpha 2, a major leap forward for my fantasy wrestling booking simulator. What started as a collection of command-line scripts has now evolved into a fully-featured, browser-based dashboard for creating, managing, and simulating your own wrestling promotion.

This update isn't just about a new interface; it's about building a smarter, more automated simulation engine. The centerpiece of Alpha 2 is a complete, automated championship tracking system.

From Manual Entry to Automated History The core of this release is the new "Event Runner." Once you've booked your event card and set the results, you can now "Finalize" the event. This single action triggers a cascade of updates: * Win/Loss records for every wrestler and tag team are automatically updated. * Championships change hands based on match outcomes. * A permanent, detailed reign history is logged for every title, tracking champions, dates, reign lengths, and successful defenses.

This moves SlamSim! into the realm of a true simulator, where your booking decisions have a direct and lasting impact on the history and statistics of your league.

Key Features in v1.0 Alpha 2: * A Full Web Dashboard: No more editing JSON files by hand! Manage your entire promotion—from wrestlers to events—through an intuitive, menu-driven interface. * Championship Management: Create, edit, and track your own custom singles and tag team championships. * Automated Title Lineage: View a complete, chronological history for every belt, automatically updated by the Event Runner. * Polished UI: Thanks to a series of quality-of-life improvements, lists are now sorted logically, and the workflow is cleaner and more intuitive.

This is a huge step toward the 1.0 release, and it lays the foundation for exciting future plans, including bringing back static site publishing and introducing AI-powered booking assistance.

As this is an alpha release, I welcome any and all feedback, bug reports, and suggestions!
